my New York reading, beforemath

I'm reading in New York Tuesday night, with
Mr Joel Hynes, at the McNally Robinson bookstore
in Soho. Probably the reason my publisher
has set up this blog is so I'll mention things
like this. So I'm giving you twenty-six hours
notice. Any suggestions about what Joel
and I should do after we've read?

You need refreshment in some of the most New York places - closeby. Go for a few cocktails at Spice Market, a labyrinth place in the Meat Packing District at 403 W13th Street at Ninth Avenue.

Or hop in a cab and head to Freeman's Restaurant for dinner, it's a hidden gem down the end of Freeman Alley off Rivington between Bowery and Chrystie.

Hearing you read at the Soho bookstore made me want to write you secret letters.I thought it would be fascinating to have a secret correspondent that was an incredible author and thinker.

I loved your reading, and love your writing, although I am not finished with the book yet.

I am looking forward to the next book. Do you want to be my secret correspondent?
